A Perfect Weekend in Westhampton Beach

The beauty of Westhampton Beach is that you don't have to do much to have a perfect weekend. With the ocean off your back deck and the village minutes away, the itinerary mostly writes itself. Here's a loose plan you can follow — or ignore entirely.

Friday: arrive and settle in

Aim to beat the worst of the eastbound traffic and arrive in time for sunset. Drop your bags, fire up the hot tub, and pour a drink on the mahogany deck while the sky goes pink over the Atlantic. Keep dinner easy — cook in, or pick up dinner from the village.

Saturday: beach, pool, and a village dinner

Start slow with coffee on the deck, then take the private boardwalk down to the sand for the morning. Come back for lunch and an afternoon by the heated pool. In the evening, head into Westhampton Beach village for dinner and maybe a show at the Performing Arts Center.

Sunday: a wine afternoon or a slow morning

If you have a third day, the North Fork's wineries are an easy drive for a tasting afternoon. If you're heading home, take one more beach walk, a long breakfast on the deck, and leave after lunch to dodge the Sunday rush.

Common questions

Is two nights enough in Westhampton Beach?

Two nights makes a great quick reset — one full beach day plus arrival and departure evenings. Three nights lets you add a North Fork wine afternoon or a day trip without feeling rushed.
